Klever, like every layer-1 blockchain, has at least two networks: mainnet and testnet. Mainnet is the real one. Testnet is a free copy where you can break things without paying for them.
Why testnet first
A bug on testnet costs you nothing. The same bug on mainnet can drain a wallet, lock a contract forever, or send tokens to an address you cannot recover. Functionally the two networks behave the same way, so a project that works on testnet will work on mainnet.
When to switch to mainnet
- The same flow has worked end-to-end on testnet at least three times in a row.
- You have read every prompt Claude approved during the build.
- You have a small amount of mainnet KLV ready and you are prepared to lose it.
Not before.
